Originating from the glaze color of ancient Chinese ceramics, celadon is a beautiful, soothing shade of gray-green. Celadon Road is one company’s vision for the path to a greener life.
The Massachusetts-based company was founded on Earth Day in 2008 by a mom who wanted to put people and the environment first. (Check out their green initiatives!) Celadon Road is dedicated to promoting an eco-friendly and socially conscious lifestyle through their products.
And what are those products? Everything from family skin care and sustainable jewelry to organic pet supplies and household cleaners. Candles, soaps, lotions, sponges, baby toys, water bottles, dog beds, recycled glassware, reusable lunch containers and more! They offer their own line of products mixed with items from other companies (e.g.: Green Alligator™ bath supplies and Twist® Euro Sponge). But the bottom line is the same: The products must be high quality, natural, eco-friendly and, often, Fair Trade.
I’ve been using the Celadon Road Lemongrass Bar Soap (in a soft, exfoliating soap sack) and here are the ingredients: organic oils of palm, coconut, olive and palm kernel; lemongrass essential oil blend; rosemary extract. That’s it. Clean herbal scent. No harsh chemicals.
I’m also in love with their candles made from organic beeswax and soy in reusable glass containers. No paraffin, no petroleum, no lead wicks. The Cinnamon Spice smells awesome, and it burns with no smoke.
Where can you buy their stuff? Like Avon and Shaklee, Celadon Road sells its products exclusively through Independent Consultants. You can find a consultant near you—or get details on hosting a Celadon Road party—through their website.
Party hosting comes with its own eco perks because Celadon Road is a company that gives back. For every party hosted, they donate one tree to Trees for the Future Inc. and one pair of shoes to Soles4Souls.™
The Celadon Road commitment to green extends to their packaging—simple, clean, recyclable and decorated with inspirational quotes. Perfect for gift giving.
